Pinball Machine Dimensions, Weight and Space Planning
Measure a pinball machine, doorway route and playing area before pickup day.

Use the exact machine
Pinball dimensions vary by era, cabinet type, topper and backbox. Widebody games, oversized toppers and unusual cabinets can exceed the assumptions you learned from a standard machine.
Ask for actual width, depth and height rather than relying only on a generic internet dimension.
Plan the transport configuration
Most machines can be moved with the backbox folded or removed and the legs taken off, but the correct method is game-specific. Protect cables and hinges and secure loose balls before transport.
Measure the cabinet body in its moving configuration and compare it with every doorway and turn.
Playing clearance
Allow room to stand naturally, use the flipper buttons and open the coin door. Leave space to remove the glass and lift the playfield for service.
A machine wedged between furniture may fit physically while making routine maintenance miserable.
Weight and stairs
Pinball machines are awkward as well as heavy. Stairs, narrow landings and basement turns can justify professional movers even when two people can lift the cabinet on level ground.
Use proper moving straps and equipment rather than relying on the backbox or lockdown bar as handles.
Floor planning
For multiple machines, think about concentrated weight and access. If the structure is questionable, get building-specific advice rather than estimating from an average cabinet weight.
